Hey sexy! If you’re wondering why there’s a recipe for vegetable soup on my website then you must not have seen my brand new blog “I SPY SEXY” on GlobalGrind.com BUT here’s your chance to show it some sexy love right now!

LIZZIE’S LIP SMACKIN’ PIPE CLEANIN’ VEGGIE LOVIN’ SOMETIMES CLUCKIN’ SOUP
(I didn’t create this recipe…just it’s sexy name)

INGREDIENTS:
1 medium-large sweet onion
1 bag organic baby carrots
1 bunch celery
1 bag frozen organic sweet corn
3-4 small red potatoes

1 box organic vegetable broth
1/4 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1/2 Tbsp cayenne pepper (watch out…you can always add more but you can’t take any away)

*If adding chicken just get a lil pre-cooked one from the store…slow-roasted is always a sexy choice

In a large soup pot, mix together:

vegetable broth (use entire box then fill box with water and add it too)
cayenne pepper
*extra salt if you’re using “low sodium” broth
*anything else you’d like to add…garlic powder…salt (whatever melts your butter baby)

Heat broth but no need to boil…it will be simmering for a while. The point is to set the flavors free and get them fornicating! If you bought a slow-roasted chicken you may now strip the meat off its bones & add it to the broth…taste taste taste! Keep temp low…simmer

Time to chop and saute your veggies. I like to do it hard to soft…usually that means onion, carrots, celery, corn, then potatoes. I don’t chop my veggies too small (except for the ones I don’t like to look at as much)…you don’t want them getting too soft and mushy. The onions are the only ones you want going limp…their juices ooze out much yummier this way ;D I saute as I chop…adding each veggie as I go. Use a second pot for this step. Pour on the olive oil, the butter, salt, garlic powder, and any other sexy spice you desire. Be careful not to overdo it…this soup ends up with a ton of flavor on its own. I don’t know how, because I really don’t care for any of the ingredients in it…but it really does come together quite fabulously in the end.

Saute your veggies until they they get slightly “creamy” which should take about 20 minutes once you add the last ones (potatoes should be last…don’t mash them!) It’s all up to you boss…once you are just about satisfied with the tenderness of your veggies, drench them in your sexy broth and start taste-testing! At this point the soup just needs to stir & simmer…I let it go for maybe another 10-20 minutes while I sprinkle salt, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder to taste.

SEXY CHEFS trust their “gut” NOT their recipe…so be creative! Be spontaneous! Add a little of this and a little of that here and there until it’s so good your mouth is watering for a whole bowl full. Don’t forget to turn the stove down as low as it will go and save the leftovers…they’ll last for at least a week, maybe two if you didn’t add any chicken. Take time to savor your fresh, healthy, delectable dish and enjoy it my sexy friends!

P.S. I would not recommend eating this for the very first time before an important event or a big date…LOTS of fiber in those veggies!

For my very first blog I figured I should spout off about what I know best. Me. Blogging about Me seems to have worked for quite a few of my fellow bloggers out there and hey, I know even more about Me than they do.

That got me thinking. What would be the point in owning all of this knowledge if I’m just going to let it collect cobwebs up in my head. So I began dusting off the most unique memories I could think of since the start of my on-camera career 6 years ago. Turns out I’ve collected quite a few of them.

I would have done a Top 10 List but I didn’t want Letterman’s lawyers blowing up my inbox with nasty emails about copyright nonsense. And “Top 12” just has a nicer ring to it than “Top 11.” So here it is. My very first blog ever…or should I say, my very first 12 blogs ever…

CARRIE MILBANK’S Top 12 Most Memorable Moments

The 12 blogs to follow are the dozen best, most amusing, most embarrassing, most humbling, most adventurous, funniest, scariest, sexiest, coolest, all around most memorable moments of my career as an online/TV personality so far…according to Me.

Click on any of my Top 12 memories in the countdown below and the story I can’t wait to share with you will pop right up! I’d love to hear what you think of all this, and any questions or ideas you have for me to blog about in the future.

If I answer your question or use your idea in a blog, I’ll even give you a shout out. Thanks for hangin’ out with me…hope to hear from you soon!

Oops! #12 is still partying somewhere down in South Florida…as soon as we find it we’ll spank it and post it, so stay tuned!

It all started with a little Saturday morning show on FOX called NFL Under The Helmet. That little show was the biggest launching pad of my on-camera career. It was 2003 and though my body was dedicated to being a Houston Texans Cheerleader, my mind had bigger plans to flesh out.

While I was dreaming of finding my way into the world of television, Under The Helmet’s producers were dreaming of finding a female co-host of the pom-pom persuasion to add to their television show. We found each other, through the Texans, and made each other’s “dreams” come true.

Super Bowl XXXVIII happened to be in Houston that season. Call it fate. Call it luck. Call it an answered prayer. It was all of the above the day my newfound producers called to find out what I was doing on Super Bowl Sunday. “Whatever y’all want me to,” I said without thinking.

If it weren’t for the actual video I have of me as the Under The Helmet Super Bowl correspondent, running around Reliant Stadium like I owned the place, two-stepping with fans and teaching tailgaters how to line dance, playing some pre-game catch with Panthers Wide Receiver Muhsin Muhammad, and eyewitnessing the infamous half-time show wardrobe malfunction starring JT & Miss Jackson, I still wouldn’t believe I was actually there.

Ironically, the NFL Films crew and I spent most of the evening in the same exact spot I stood on any given Sunday – the sidelines of Reliant Stadium. I’ll never forget how thankful I was to be standing there, but NOT as a cheerleader. As a chick with a mic, gazing into the camera, starting her own story in the world of sports.

Over the last 6 years I’ve had the privilege of covering various high-profile sporting events from the Super Bowl to the Stanley Cup Final. None of those events made me as nervous as I was the night I hosted a little ol’ rock & roll show in Michigan.

It was the NHL Faceoff Rocks Concert, LIVE at the Fox Theatre in Detroit featuring Def Leppard to be exact.

NHL Faceoff Rocks was my first LIVE hosting gig ever, and one of my first opportunities to make it or break it as the bright young face of the “new” NHL.com. I was friggin’ terrified! But just like my fear had no bearing on what took place that evening, it also doesn’t matter in this story either.

For us up there in the balcony, the concert went smoothly and flawlessly. Phew! For them, not so much. By them I mean the two main guys down on the stage: Joe, as in lead Leppard Joe Elliott, and Stanley, as in The Stanley Cup. This is their story:

Stanley enters stage with Red Wing. Crowd goes wild. Red Wing hands Stanley to Joe. Crowd goes wild. Joe hoists Stanley over Joe’s head. Crowd goes wild. Joe walks Stanley to Stanley’s pedestal. Crowd goes wild. Joe turns Stanley over and sets Stanley upside down on pedestal. Crowd goes silent.

Cue mass Hysteria! Cue bad NHL publicity!

I’ve always liked this motto: BAD publicity is STILL publicity

Stanley has forgiven Joe. They made my Top 12 because, even though our NHL Faceoff Rocks Concert was no Super Bowl, thanks to Stanley and Joe we still got plenty of publicity.
